Field Trip Next Thursday (March 21)

We will be going to the newly re-opened Idaho State Museum, in the morning at 9:30 for about an hour or maybe a little more.  We will likely find a park to run in for a bit, or find a small service project (picking up trash in a park?) and then go to a skating rink at noon.  There we will be provided with lunch (pizza), and a skate time, thanks to the gracious support of the Ceccarelli family, as a celebration of Alex's birthday!  Permission slips will be coming home on Monday.  Please PM me, if you have any questions.

Quarter ending soon

This coming Friday is the last day of third quarter.  Grade cards will be coming out by the end of next week.  Several students have fallen a bit behind.  This is at least in part due to my taking that personal day last Monday.  The sub 'bumped' some assignments, and didn't help with corrections the way that she should have, so we spent the rest of the week playing catch up.  Ask your student if they have a 'back work slip' and help them in the evenings as much as possible please!!  But getting out into the sunshine and fresh air is important too!!  As long as everything is handed in by Monday of next week, we'll be fine. Finding balance is important too.  And that spring weather is definitely calling!!    : )

Reading books

If your student is reading to you in the evenings (as they are supposed to be doing!) please send in notes when they finish books.  We have a caterpillar on the wall, in the classroom, that is growing a new 'section' with each book that is read, and he needs to grow a bit faster!!!

Church performance this weekend

The students are practicing a song, that they will be performing as 'special Music' for church this Sabbath.  Please bring your child to the church by about 10:45 Saturday morning.  Pastor Tomm is speaking this week, so, the sermon will be very good, but if you need to slip out, after the students sing, that is ok, too.  Mostly we just want the church members who generously support our little school, to see the students, now and then, and benefit from what they have learned, and from seeing their smiling faces!!

Parent Night

In case you missed it, Parent night is moved from the 13th (this Wednesday) to the 20th.  It will be short and sweet, just from 6:00-7:00, and may even end sooner than 7.  The students are preparing presentations, in groups of three, so there are only four presentations to show, so it shouldn't take too long.
